Last Post For The Year

some activity here at last. heh.

KC! motivation to write this comes from you after reading your post on PS I Love You. i found myself laughing in glee at how you share my anguish at how our significant other spends their time with their iPhone (mine calls it his iBaby *major eyerolling*), and how he just sits infront of his laptop after mahjong when he comes over. and how he hardly brings me out. sigh. okok before this becomes a complaint note, i shd say i guess i am happy. for now.

ok more positive tots. the year is coming to an end and a brand new year is commencing! and exciting events are in line. the biggest one so far would be the wedding of my dear friend, happening on my bday too! this qualifies as double happiness i guess? hehe. and of cos yours truly turning a year older. 25? 26? i lost count. or just in denial. and the long awaited HK trip with jeral! and a probable trip to Australia i hope? and with my GM leaving, work will revert back to where i started out. so next year will be time to jump out from this dump of a job. sigh.

it happened again. time and time again. ok the third time actually? fourth? i dun even remember. everything seems to be gg fine and dandy and suddenly poof! as if nothing ever took place. sigh. i think something must be very wrong with me. :(

Bro's Big Day

and wat a long day it was. helping with the preparation the nite before till 3am. waking up at 7am the next day. coping with the stream of relatives coming for the tea ceremony. struggling to remember who's who. (im infamous for this. bro says tt im liu qin bu ren) clearing the aftermath. packing and leaving for sentosa. prettifying for the dinner. helping with recep. struggling once again to remember who's who + trying to maintain in tt dress under the blasting aircon. but despite all this, im thrilled to be part of it all and to be able to witness my dear bro officially married. my only regret is not being able to participate in the ruckus of saboing the groom. heh. but anyhow, i do wish both him and his wife a blissful marriage with lots of kids to come! and i do hope he remembers his lease here is a max of 2 yrs. at least according to me.

Upcoming Fleas

back to back fleas on 13-14 & 19-20 June. be there! me not selling my stuff there though, just broadcasting it. anyway, had lots of stuff going on in May. busy, busy, busy! not much time for slp, let alone update my ongoings. and May is also burning a big hole in my pocket! bday, baby shower, wedding, etc. not gd. i mean the spending part. sigh. on another note, im officially moving to my new office on wed. had been sayin i'll move since jan and now im finally moving! having mixed feelings abt it actually cos though i cant stand the noise in the store most of the time, i guess i'll kinda maybe miss the laughter. anyway i'll share again on the situation. but meanwhile, frens stayin in the west will hear more from me soon. heh.

am up to the neck with work in the office and with the add'l role im taking up, i think im in for sth much worse. and helping with the so-called family biz, not much help i am cos im totally running out of ideas. romantically im still fumbling in circles its almost becoming defunct.

Post Joey Concert

finally got my computer fixed. but still not fully functionable yet. i mean wat gd is a computer w/o microsoft office and a sound device?? kns now i cant watch my Heroes online. sigh. well, at least now i can find time to blog.

so. joey was fantastics. her singing. her dancing. her costumes. her figure! only thing was we were seated quite far back to see her and i was also abit controlled, dun wanna scare my new fren with my screaming. heh. but at the end of it i dragged him to the front (most ppl were leaving anyway) and had to stand on the chairs to get a better view of joey. so pretty lor. ok will stop, sounding abit of a groupie here.

anyway, im desperately wanting to go the grasshoppers concert on 9 may. had a fren who backed out last min. sigh. so if you noe of anyone who would wanna go, pls let me noe! willing to go with anyone (sanity intact, non-psychopathic-looking and err, other conditions apply) yes yes, desperate times calls for desperate measures! so hear from ya!

Gender Issues

giving my ears a break. damn it hurts, and my earrings arent even real gold. these days, i can't go out without bigass earrings to feminise myself. (wearing skirts is really not an alternative option) that so if i dun wanna end up being mistaken for a boy for a third time. yes, it happened a second time in the ladies. sigh. i think im getting used to it already. but sometimes i swear i get stares from people. like they're taking a second glance to make sure im not a man in drag. hahaa! i find this hilarious, comparing myself with those psycho ah peks. wats up with these uncles anyway? like the world is not in enough mess as it is now.

that dreadful number. i get a shudder everytime i see it. yes, getting quite sensitive abt digits recently. the age, the weight, the waistline, the cash balance. omg its depressing. the only good abt bdays is the gathering of frens and family, feeling the love, stuffing ourselves with food and of cos, receiving presents!

Last Post for the Year

after ages of inactivity, i tot i might sneak in one last post for the year - or infinitely. so xmas this year - nothing elaborate, just a simple dinner with the family on xmas day itself and lunch with frens on the 3rd day of xmas. did some seriously last min shopping on xmas eve and hence the bo sim gifts (sorry frens) and lack of pictures of handmade gifts this year (apart from a couple of knitted purses. another post next time). *sigh* truth is, im not inspired nor in the mood for the celebrations or anything for that matter. think im getting old and all the energy and enthusiasm are somehow being sucked outta me. yes, i am in need of some excitement. anyone wants to go bungee jump a cliff with me or sth?

Halloween Day

friday at work was abit crazy. i reached the office to find a whole bunch of scary characters running wild - fallen angels, witches, wizards, monsters, devils, phantoms, supermen.. there's even sweeney todd and mr. bean. well, the staff at the store decided to make halloween big and play dress up for the day. i, in my tee and jeans, obviously didnt prepare for it. someone just threw me a hat for the pic. hahaa.. but it was rather interesting, seeing my colleagues gg all the way on this day for the customers. ok more pics soon.

Spelling Lessons?

this is nicole and she's turning 5 in a few months. and the piece of paper proudly pinned to her bedroom door carries the names of everyone dear to her. and according to nicole, we love to play *heart*

but having taken a closer look at it, i was saddened that i do not feature in nicole's world. everyone's in it. jasmin, her 舅母, jeffrey, her 舅舅, cynthia, her mummy, derek, her daddy, jayden, her brother, poh poh, her 婆婆. by golly, even her plush toy, pig bao bao, had its name on it. so feeling slightly indignant, i asked her abt it. and you nv would have guessed. her response threw me off completely.

nicole pointed to the extra 2 "E"s on her name and say "got lah, its here! Yi Yi!"

sigh. im thinking someone needs to send her kid for some spelling lessons soon.
